"First Day of School, August 18, 2008"

Some moments from the first week of school...

*Caleb deciding he was tired halfway through the day and laying on the floor for his "nap" during math time...

*Dillan experiencing the "love" of a little boy by being picked on...

*Charley giving up her recess to help her sis and bro navigate the lunchroom...

*Watching the bravest little boy in the world walk into yet another new, scary experience...

*Getting my nails done for the first time in years ;-)

*Wondering how my house got so quiet...

"Ahhhhhhh, Here Come the Tears...."

Twas the night before Kindergarten, and all through the house EVERY creature is stirring, and I really need my spouse! The three little backpacks are packed by the door, hopefully getting ready tomorrow won’t be a chore. The lunch boxes are packed and waiting in the fridge with hopes that Dillan will at least eat a smidge. The clothes were hand picked and laid out tonight, crossing my fingers that tomorrow they will still be alright! The twins are excited, not nervous at all. Mommy on the other hand is trying not to bawl. It seems just yesterday, my babies were born, those early days, you really do mourn. Now they are 5, 5, and 7 and independent as can be. And though I’m happy for them, it’s still a little sad for me. Tomorrow I’ll be smiling and happy as I bid them “adieu”, but tonight I’m feeling just a little bit blue…

"Wedding Day Fun..."

Today was our friends' wedding. I volunteered to do the flowers for them...I had fun doing it but was SO glad that my WONDERFUL, THOUGHTFUL, HANDSOME, CARING, FANTASTIC, husband helped me out (how was that babe?). I could have never gotten everything done without his help. Justin, I think we should go into business together...wink wink...

"Nine Years Ago..."

Nine years ago today, I married the love of my life and became Mrs. Justin Rogers. Nine years! Time has flown...
As I am not great with words, I will not try to write anything deep and profound. Instead, I will just say that I love you with all my heart, Justin Michael Rogers. You are my rock, my best friend, my lover, my heart.

"Beautiful Baby..."

Ah, Dillan Reigh...where has time gone? You start Kindergarten in two weeks. On one hand I am so excited for you because I know that you are going to have an amazing time in school. On the other hand, I have turned into one of those emotional Mom's who want to hang on to my baby as long as possible. Oh well. Like you always say, "Mommy, I will ALWAYS be your baby..."

Yes, Dillan, you will always be my baby...
*Note to readers...be prepared for more sappy blogs throughout the next couple of weeks...
